The archaeological site of Medina Azahara has been declared of cultural interest in the category of Monument since 19233, as well as being officially declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco on July 1, 2018. In 2018 it received more than 275,000 visitors, being one of the most visited cultural spaces in Córdoba.
