This tour is for experts at avoiding tourist traps, who revolt at insipid food, and those who couldn’t bare leaving a city not really sure about what they just saw. While you will see many of the usual stops in the Historic Center, I’ll break down their significance in Quito’s 500 year struggle over its identity. Logistics Instructions

Start location : Let us meet in front of the church, San Francisco. There is a little coffee shop with green umbrellas off to the right / north/west side of the plaza.

End location : If we do lunch, my secret spot is here. Right next to the Metrovia and close to La Ronda and Plaza Grande, it is an easy place to get back to where you are staying or on to your next adventure.
