Visit the Elves and trolls of Iceland on this entertaining walk through the oldest part of Reykjavik.  If you want to experience an exciting and different side of Iceland join us and visit an elfstone in the Reykjavik city center and walk through two of the oldest cemeteries in Reykjavik for a truly haunted walk. We will tell you about famous Ghosts like the Deacon of Dark River, the unique Icelandic monsters, the 13 Santas or the Icelandic Yulelads / Jólasveinar, their mother the child eating troll called Grýla and finally the only known serial killer of Iceland in a land where it's easy to get lost in the lava fields.  You will also get an introduction into Icelandic magic (how to wake the undead). In the long winter nights in Iceland, storytelling has been our the primary entertainment and around 1 in 10 Icelanders writes a book in his lifetime so it's obvious... we love to tell stories and you sure won't be disappointed by joining our walk and hearing a couple.

Logistics Instructions

Start location : We meet up at Ingolfstorg Square in the center of Reykjavik by the two stone high seat pillars (Over 2 meters high), The square is at the beginning of Austurstræti (Austurstræti 1) and is squared off by the streets Aðalstræti, Hafnarstræti, Veltusund, and Vallarstræti. If you walk down Laugavegur (The main shopping street) please just continue all the way down until you come to the square always walking straight down until you can't continue further. On the Ingolfur square itself, you can see Kvosin a small grocery market and Center Hotel Plaza. We sincerely recommend map programs like Google Maps because the Icelandic street names can be quite tricky.

End location : We end up close to our starting point but now infront of the Parliament building at Austurvöllur public square.
