The Petrohué Falls are located on the west side of Todos Los Santos Lake, inside Vicente Pérez Rosales Park, in the Tenth region of Los Lagos. In the drain of Lake Todos Los Santos, a series of waterfalls known as Los Saltos de Petrohué appear and then become the river of the same name. The name Petrohué is of Mapudungun origin and means place of humaderas. This denomination perhaps refers to the species of steam that forms with the precipitous fall of the water that is sprayed in the rocks of the bottom. The largest fall of this geological formation is 3 meters and its waters are an emerald color.
