Here is your chance to understand more about the history and culture of Trivandrum with a local family. Join Swapna for a fun, interactive cooking and dining experience. Once you arrive, make yourself comfortable with a refreshing drink. Then head towards the kitchen to start the home-based cooking class. Begin with an introduction to spices and ingredients used in the cooking. Swapna will teach you to make Thoran (A seasonal vegetable made with grated coconut with a tempering of curry leaves) and Kerala-style Fish Fry amongst others. Post the cooking session you can move towards the dining area and enjoy the Kerala classics on a banana leaf in a traditional manner. Located in the center of the city, Swapna's home is 2 km from Trivandrum Museum and Zoo, 1 km from Kowdiar Palace. The whole experience can last for about 2-3 hours. Note - This is not a professional cooking class but rather an opportunity to cook and dine with a local and learn the tips and tricks of Indian cooking.
