With the help of our certified olive oil sommelier, you will discover the wide spectrum of aromas and flavours that olive oil has to offer! As part of this activity, you will first walk through a traditional olive grove, touch the trees to understand the variety characteristics, apply olive picking tools as an example of harvesting, witness agricultural practices and understand how nature works to give us a high quality extra virgin olive oil! After the walk, you will enjoy an olive oil tasting session where you will taste different olive oil samples, sniff for the fruitiness and the aromas, taste the peppery and bitter notes and learn how to evaluate olive oil quality on your own. You will become an olive sommelier for a day, discussing the food pairings of olive oil and the many uses in the kitchen while you will learn about the health benefits of olive oil and the Mediterranean diet.
