Climb up Saint Louis’ keep and take a stroll around the Medieval fortifications. Saint-Louis founded the fortified city of Aigues Mortes to provide the kingdom of France with a port on the Mediterranean. The keep ramparts and towers, gems of 13th-century Gothic architecture, are a remarkably well-preserved defence structure.
Perched on the terrace of the Tower of Constance, you will observe a spectacular panorama overlooking the Camargue and salt marshes. Under the majestic ribbed vaults of the towers, you will dive into the Middle Age with its Crusades and the major events that have marked the city. Your ticket allows you direct entry to the Towers and Remparts.
