Enjoy this full day hike, explore a narrow canyon and see how water in its many forms has shaped the mountains over time. After reaching the back of the canyon, go further to the ink pots, a great day out covering 11.6 km with 315 m elevation gain and loss. This hike is perfect for couples, families and friends. Minimum age: 13. Youth should be accompanied by a guardian.

Logistics Instructions

  • Start location : Meet out front the Black Swift Cafe at Johnston Canyon. Upon meeting we'll complete paperwork, then hit the trails. This five hour, 11.6km return hike takes you through a water sculpted canyon to the ink-pots, a great way to get active and enjoy the day!

  • Special Instructions :
    Thank you for your booking! We will send you a ticket to show to Parks Canada who is manning access to the 1A to be able to drive down the road to the parking area.

    Please meet at the Black Swift Bistro for 10:30 am where we will meet, go over the day and enjoy an early lunch before heading off on
