This historic and sustainable nature walking tour, starts in Bilbao and using the public transport to get to the coast, we will guide you through the history of the Basque Country.
The Nervion River is the origin of Bilbao and it is also the main axis to understanding the development of Bizkaia and the Basque Country. From the fantastic Azkorri beach, a very special beach and probably our favorite beach close to Bilbao city (it is easy to reach by bus). This beach with black sand, is covered by a green blanket of dunes and flanked by a steep cliff, it is the perfect spot for nature lovers, and is considered a geological and biological jewel.
The path that runs along spectacular landscapes and steep cliffs, arriving to the mouth of the River and up to Bizkaia Bridge will help you to understand the past and the present of Bizkaia; the most important province of the Basque Country full of heritage and traditions.
