This off-the-beaten-path Lima experience is fun, educational and very Peruvian. It is perfect for those that need a break from archeology and architecture but still want to learn more about Peruvian culture and its diversity. On this cultural exchange tour, you'll visit a community of the indigenous Shipibo-Konibo, who are originally from the Amazon region. Several moved to Lima decades ago where they settled together and built their own a community. During the tour, you'll learn more about Shipibo art, culture and traditions, and their inspiring but often tragic history and present situation. You'll also try a delicious and typical Amazonian lunch with our host family and you will of course see and try out some Shipibo techniques yourself. If you’re more of an observer, that’s perfectly fine as well!
