This tour gives you the unique opportunity to avoid these crowds and enjoy the quiet of the early morning at Linderhof Castle (and / or Hohenschwangau Castle). • Can you cope with the slightly uphill paved path from the parking lot to Neuschwanstein Castle - approx. 1.5 km within an hour - on foot? If not, additional (waiting) time must be taken into account for the horse hybrid carriage or the shuttle bus. In any case, you have to walk approx. 450 meters (with up to 15% incline) or approx. 500m (with up to 19% incline) from the respective final stop to the castle entrance! We are happy to accompany you so that you can reach your tour in good time! (PRICES:> Carriage € 7.00 for ascent / € 3.50 for descent;> Shuttle bus (€ 3.00 for a return trip, does not run during snow and ice) In the castle itself, a total of 346 steps must be climbed become.
• A total of 346 stairs (up and down) have to be climbed in Neuschwanstein Castle. If that is too much for you, and if you have a corresponding medical certificate stating that you are unable to walk or have restricted mobility or the like (must be scanned in advance and sent to us), we can offer an exclusive lift service only for you with a maximum of one accompanying person, accompanied by Castle staff, book. The elevator service is at no additional cost, but (due to fire safety regulations) the number of tours with this service is very limited and must be reconfirmed by the lock authorities. PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO COVID-19 THE LIFT IS NOT OPERATING!
• There is a carriage to Hohenschwangau Castle (not in the winter season) almost from door to door. You have to climb stairs to the 3rd floor and back (no elevator).
• Linderhof Castle can be reached quite easily from the car park on a relatively flat stretch: it is a 15-minute walk to the castle, in the castle itself only the stairs to the first floor have to be climbed.
• Each castle can also be reached with a stroller, but neither they nor any other large items of luggage (e.g. baby carriers, large rucksacks) are allowed during the castle tour.
• If you want to reach Neuschwanstein through the truly breathtaking Pöllat Gorge, we recommend suitable footwear. The ascent or descent takes 45-60 minutes; 1/4 of the route is steps and is therefore not suitable for prams. In unsuitable weather or maintenance work, the gorge is not always accessible.
• During the entire excursion, 1 GB of data volume is available free of charge (additional data volume is available for a small fee).
