The hill capital Kandy was the last Sri Lankan kingdom and has the distinction of being captured only by the British. While the British influence is very much apparent in its architecture and town planning, the traditional Sri Lankan culture continues to remain in practice. Kandy is also home to Sri-Lanka’s most important Buddhist temple, the Dalada Maligawa or Temple of the Sacred Tooth relic of the Lord Buddha.  Suggested start time for pick up from Negombo Hotel is 7.00 AM
