Within the Serra da Bocaina National Park, is located one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region, Cachoeira da Melancia, located in the Taquarí neighborhood, about 25km from the entrance to Paraty. With the largest waterfalls, its waterfall is imposing. The trail that gives access is very technical, despite not being too steep or too long, it is approximately 3km, covered in 2 hours at a calm pace through the protected forest, with lush flora and many birds, we reach the first fall and at the site of the first bath, where we will have a splendid view of the magnitude of this waterfall. We contemplate, relax a little and continue for another 15 minutes of walking to the second fall, from where, in addition to bathing in crystal clear water, we have our lunch and rest for the return trip.
