My name is Diego. I have a bachelor's degree in tourism and a master in social studies from the University of Guadalajara. I created this tour to introduce visitors to the history, culture and architecture of Guadalajara, my home city. Walking in the city's historic barrios, plazas and markets, you will discover its unique personality while learning how historical events have shaped its urban and social landscape throughout the centuries. You will also discover Guadalajara's fundamental landmarks, including: 1. The Cathedral 2. Hospicio Cabañas (home to the murals of Jose Clemente Orozco) 3. Mercado Libertad (the biggest indoor market in Latin America) 4. Chapultepec cultural corridor. Whether a family with children, a couple, a group of friends or a solo traveler, my tours are highly flexible/adaptable to meet your specific interests. By the end of our private walking tour (no groups!), you will have a wider understanding of Guadalajara and Mexico's past and present.
