From November through March, make a winter getaway from Seoul to Yongpyong Resort. It comes with all the bells and whistles for skiers: a choice of overnight lodging at the resort’s condo or hotel, a 1-day lift and gondola ticket, a 2-hour beginner ski lesson, daylong use of rental ski equipment, and clothing. All you have to concern yourself with is what world-class slopes you want to hit. The next day is free for you to explore this top Korean ski resort (own expense). Prefer a one plank ride down the mountain? You can snowboard, too, just bring your own board. This two-day package rounds out with hotel pickup and drop-off by ski shuttle bus.
