We will take you off the beaten path to discover Paraisopolis Favela (slum). Enjoy the delicious traditional Brazilian Feijoada dish combined with drinks and live samba music in a lively atmosphere at the charming “Bistro Mãos de Maria” on the rooftop of the community association in the middle of the favela. Before lunch and samba music, take a 3-hour guided tour and feel what life in a favela is really like. Tour through São Paulo's second largest favela experiencing a different culture and getting an unique insight into the vibrant spirit of its people, especially the hidden veritable artists who live there. The itinerary is made on foot and includes along the way the Estevão’s Stone House, the famous Gaudí of Paraisópolis, as well as the Berbela, who makes sculptures from motorcycle parts and any other material that could be disposed of in the trash. The event happens every Saturday gathering local residents with visitors from various locations in the city and the world.
