With a history reaching back to the 16th century, tea ceremony is a profound practice deeply associated with all that makes Japan special: its unique sense of beauty; its tremendous sense of hospitality; its undoubtable zen nature.
We aspire to reproduce that genuine heart behind the ritual of tea ceremony in all of our sessions. Our bilingual tea masters ensure that you can understand and appreciate each part of the ancient ritual by taking you through each traditional step of the practice - preparing for you delicious matcha green tea and "higashi" sweets to enjoy, and explaining the profound traditions and philosophies behind the ancient ceremonies. You can then try making tea in the processes of the tea ceremony yourself.
