Die Juden haben die Stadt Breslau stark geprägt. Sie waren ein großer Teil der Breslauer Bevölkerung bis 1945. Wir beginnen den Spaziergang am Marktplatz und bewundern die alten jüdischen Kaufhäuser im Jugendstil, besonders das prachtvolle Kaufhaus der Gebrüder Barasch. Unterwegs stoßen wir auf die sogenannten Stolpersteine, Pflastersteine zum Gedenken an das NS-Regime. Wir erreichen bald den Platz, wo die größte jüdische "Neue Synagoge" stand. Sie gehörte der Reform-Judentum-Bewegung an, die durch die Abmilderung religiöser Erfordernisse abschwächte. Leider wurde die Synagoge während der Kristallnacht 1938 zerstört. Wir betreten das jüdische Viertel, erreichen den Hof der Synagoge Zum Weißen Storch, die einzige erhaltene Synagoge in Breslau ist. Gleich daneben befindet sich die kleine Synagoge. Es ist an drei Seiten von dem Gebäude umgeben, in dem sich seit 1901 Büros der Jüdischen Gemeinde Breslau befinden. Die Führung enden wir in einem jüdischen Restaurants.
