This one-day tailor-made tour to Pokkoku will provide a wide knowledge of culture and tradition. Pakokku is an unspoiled small town that is known for its checkered blanket weaving, Tha Nat Khar wood (locally used as make-up), and tobacco trading. We can visit some cigar cheroot workshops in Pakkoku. We can learn about daily people living in their workshops. Best known for tobacco trading, there is not a great deal to do in the town itself, but 20 kilometers to its northwest we can find the remains of Pakhan Gyi with its old city walls, archaeological museum, and one of the oldest surviving wooden monasteries in the region. The greatness of Myanmar people and belief will capture us during the moments at ancient Monastery. Pokkoku will be one reason for having contact with the rural upper Myanmar culture.
