Ain Draham is a high hill station located around 900m above sea-level and is situated 30km from its neighboring Tabarka. The round hills around here are covered with cork forest. There are different ways to get to the village of Ain Draham as well as travel away from it. The SRT Jendouba bus station located on ave 7 November 1987), 150m down the hill from the fountain roundabout, run buses to Beni ... Metir (one bus daily), to Bizerte (at 6am via Tabarka), to Hammam Bourguiba (two daily), to Jendouba (four daily), to Le Kef (three daily) and to Tabarka (a dozen daily). as well as SNTRI buses that go to Tunis (five daily). If you prefer, there are also blue-stripes transportation services located in the street outside the bus station, they run to Tabarka (40 minutes) and Jendouba (45 min¬utes) and there are others that head to Tunis as well. The Yellow-stripe Iouages run to Fernana and stop 250m down the hill from the bus station. Taxis are also available there to Beni Metir, or Hamam Bourguiba.
The town of Ain Draham is often covered with snow in December and January because of its high altitude. Some of the attracting activities that can be done here include hiking, mountain biking as well as horse riding. The town was once famous for hunting lions and leopards in the last century, which has finally led to these animals becoming extinct in the area. Now, most hunting activities are of only wild boars. Many other environment-friendly visitors prefer to come here to escape heat in the summer and relax as well as doing training at the famous sports center there. For gift and present buyers, there are some fascinating decorated traditional and colorful carpets and handbags, hand-made and woven in Ain Draham. They are available from a small cooperative called Les Tapis de Kroumirle at rue Abou el-Kacem Echebbi. Also on ave Habib Bourguiba up near the Maison des jeunes, you can shop there for other traditional items including various carved wood items and cork-bark planters.
Concerning restaurants and cafes available in the town, there is a number of restaurants located just west of the fountain roundabout, including Restaurant L'Escale which offers excellent spicy-sauce chickens. There is also Restaurant du Grand Maghreb is located about 800m up ave Habib Bourguiba and serves pizzas.
