To reach the village of Haddej one can take the road posted 4 km northward Matmata city on the main thoroughfares. The usual means of transportation used in such areas are the occasional buses and the local camionnettes, small pick-ups like taxis. One can take this means of transportation directly to Nouvelle Matmata or take the bus to Tijma and walk to reach Matmata, about 3km away.
