How to get to Sousse
You can get to the city through different means of transport, including buses, louages, trains, and metro. Some buses head to Monastir, Mahdia, and Port el-Kantaoui and depart from the bus-stop located just outside the medina. Some other buses depart from the new bus-station located 800m southwest of the medina and head to Kairouan. If you wish, you can reach Sousse with a louage which departs from the louage station located one kilometer south of the medina. These louages take you to El-Jem, Hammamet, Kairouan, Mahdia, Monastir, Sfax, and Tunis. There is a louage station at Souq el-Ahad. Comfortable train cars are also another option; and you can find them available at the train station. There are trains to Tunis, Nabeul, Sfax, Gabes, Gafsa, and Metlaoui. Another fast and affordable transportation option is the metro which takes you form Sousse to the Airport at Monastir, and Mahdia.
