The hotel was created at the end of the nineteenth century and has been remodelled with respect to the historical elements, yet introducing new features to offer comfort to guests such as gardens, stone fountains, a restaurant, room service and parking. Comprising 15 rooms, the air-conditioned establishment offers a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a café and a bar. WLAN Internet access, a laundry service and a car park are also provided.

The hotel is located opposite the Santa Lucia park, in the historical centre of old Mérida. It is also located 3 blocks from the main square, the cathedral, the contemporary art museum and other major tourist attractions.
