The Antico hotel has been completely renovated in 2005 and from January 2006 is now under new management. Re-opened this new look luxury hotel. The hotel is located in an ancient building dating back to the late Renaissance. The building is the former residence of Giulio Rospigliosi who became Pope Clement IX in 1667. The property is located in the heart of the city centre right next to the church of Santa Maria Maggiore half way between Termini train station and the Colosseum. The lobby is medium in size and well decorated. It is furnished in an elegant and fine style, the seating area is equipped with comfortable sofas and coffee tables. Some pieces evoke Roman style.
This hotel is situated close to the basilica of Santa Maggiore in the Palazzo Imperiali Borromeo and is located in a late Renaissance building.
