The finca was founded by the German Edelmann family in 1888, and renovated in 1998. Respect for the natural surrounds are primary characteristics of this farm. Facilities include 4 spacious accommodations and a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, and a cloakroom. There is also a restaurant, a café, a bar, a TV room, a games room and Internet access. Fees apply for use of the room and laundry services and the medical assistance; there is also a playground and a car park for those arriving by car.

This hotel is located 45 km from Tapachula, the capital town of the state of Chiapas. It lies 1250 m above sea level between the natural tropical rainforests and beautiful scenery. It is some 2 hours from the airport.
