The hotel provides superb views of the village, the cliff, the volcano, the enchanting sunsets, and the rim of the caldera. It is housed in a neoclassical captain's house and represents a true example of luxury and culture. On offer in this air-conditioned establishment are a total of nine rooms in addition to a reception, a restaurant, and a bar. There is no formal lobby. Check in is done in either the hotel main lounge or the guests room.

The hotel is located at the highest point of the caldera, about 250 m above the sea at the top of the traditional village of Imevigli. Guests will reach the centre of Fira from here in approximately 3 km, while Kamari beach lies about 10 km away.
