Although the hotel is under new management, the building has long been established as one of the area's most recognisable buildings. Established in 1854, the hotel is situated pitching wedge distance from a superb 18-hole golf course. The building itself retains many of the original features based around a golfing theme such as stained glass windows and the golf coat of arms that sits proudly at the top of the building. This 16-room establishment offers facilities including a lobby, bar, breakfast room, conference facilities, WLAN Internet access and a car park.
The hotel has an ideal location for golf lovers, as Ayrshire is home to some of the best courses in the world, from the Open Championship courses at Turnberry and Royal Troon, to the prestigious Prestwick and Gailes courses to a range of superb municipal facilities, many regarded as the best in Scotland. Although the area is usually first associated with golf, Ayrshire also has some of the most dramatic scenery in Scotland. The hotel is ideally situated close to the railway station and town centre. It is adjacent to Prestwick Golf Club and St Nicholas Golf Club and the sea front is a 5-minute walk away. Prestwick Airport is around 3 minutes away by taxi.
All prices include a full Scottish breakfast.
