This is a very fine and personable hotel located within the Lake District. The staff are immensely friendly (many still remain since the hotel opened) and give a great Cumbrian welcome. In addition, the hotel offers guests complimentary Spa membership, which includes use of the 13m deck level Swimming Pool and relaxation area, Sauna, Steam room, Whirlpool and fully equipped air-conditioned exercise area. The hotel is located just off Junction 40 of the M6 motorway and is one mile from the town centre and the train station. Penrith is between Windermere and Carlisle and is just a short drive from the heart of the Lakes.
