Located in the very heart of Amsterdam on one of the popular canal streets, this hotel is within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions and can be found just off one of the main shopping streets.Due to the fact that this is an old building, all the rooms vary in size; however, they are all medium to large and all decorated to a high standard having recently benefited from renovation. Some rooms have beamed ceilings, some have views on the canal and all have traditional furniture. Most of the bathrooms have been renovated and these are also in very good condition, as are the bathrooms that have not been renovated, although the new bathrooms are very modern in style with tiled floors, granite sinks and heated towel rails.The breakfast room is located on the lower ground floor and is a large and beautiful old room with stained glass windows. There is a restaurant but the hotel does not run this; it is on the lower ground floor of the hotel although there is a separate entrance on the canal side of the property. This is quite a formal restaurant serving International cuisine, but it is not the original Dikker and thisrestaurant is not the one that the hotel used to be fa
