The site for the hotel, once a village of the native Miwoks, was chosen because of its exposure to the sun and stunning views of Yosemite's icons such as Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and Glacier Point. The air-conditioned establishment offers 123 guest rooms, a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, hotel safe, lift access, bar, restaurant and conference facilities. Furthermore, WLAN Internet access, room and laundry services, a car park and bicycles are provided.
The hotel is the 4-diamond hotel located in Yosemite National Park on the floor of Yosemite Valley. This National Historic Landmark opened in 1927 and was designed by architect Gilbert Stanley Underwood who designed lodges at other national parks of the west.
