Renovated in 2007, the property is built in typical Chinese garden style and covers an area of 80,000 m². There are five themed gardens within the hotel, each exclusively designed, including the flower garden, the bird garden and the garden of the four seasons. The property is fully air-conditioned and comprises a total of 607 guest rooms. Facilities on offer include a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom, lift access, an auditorium, a café, a bar, a disco and a dining room. The hotel is located in the centre of Guilin, close to the River Li. It faces out over the Seven Star Cave, and Elephant Trunk Hill is just behind the hotel. The property enjoys what are probably the best views of the scenery of Guilin. Guilin's central square is just 15 minutes away by public transport, while the railway station is 20 minutes away.

Food from some of the most popular Chinese cuisines is served at the hotel, including Sichuan, Shandong, Cantonese and Beijing-style dishes, as well as local cuisine. The cafe and bar also provide guests with an excellent choice of meals and snacks.
