The hotel has public hot spring bath both indoor and outdoor. Shimoda City is known as the port to which an American fleet, known as Kurofune (the Black Ships), entered in the 19th century demanding the establishment of trade with Japan. (07/08HT) It is on the 3rd floor and is small with some sitting space. There is a lounge at the end of lobby with panoramic view of ocean from the hill top.
The hotel is located on the coast of Shimoda, south-east end of Izu Peninsula. It takes 6 minutes by taxi from Izukyu Shimoda station on Izu Kyuko line that directly connects to JR line. It takes approximately 90 minutes by rapid train from Atami, one of the stations on bullet train (Tokaido Shinkansen). Also it takes 160 minutes from Tokyo by express train named "Odoriko" without making connections. The hotel provides free shuttle bus to / from Izukyu Shimoda station.
