This hotel is an ideal starting point for exploring the Fish River Canyon. The comfortable chalets in Cape-Dutch style and a thatched restaurant of generous proportions, are grouped together to form a little hamlet. The daily life of the area's early inhabitants, the Bondelswart-Nama, is depicted on murals in the restaurant and chalets. The on-site restaurant serves several meat dishes, fresh vegetables and a choice of salads.

The hotel sits picturesquely at the foot of a sweeping rock face in Gondwana Canon Park, only a few kilometres away from the famous Fish River Canyon.
