The convent of the Santa Lucia congregation was built in the 16th century and during its history has housed numerous establishments, including the Carlos Gracida Institute aat the beginning of the 20th Century. In around 1945 it was converted into the Hotel Pombo, which was in existence for more than 50 years and, finally, after more than 4 years of the greatest rebuilding efforts, it was returned to its original form, and now offers guests a unique ambience throughout.
