Padstow is a paradise for those who love seafood. Its views are pretty spectacular too, particularly from the Metropole, an imposing Victorian hotel, which stands on a hill overlooking the harbour and Camel estuary. Padstow´s narrow streets are dotted with small colourful shops and you can find amazing antiques. All 50 bedrooms are furnished to a very high standard, and 4 poster rooms and mini suites with balconies overlooking the harbour are available at a supplementary cost. There is an attractive restaurant serving local produce or lounge bar for lighter meals and snacks. During July and August, the hotel opens its outdoor swimming pool for sole use to residents.
