The hotel was the former residence of Madam de Pompadour and also accommodated Stendhal for 6 months in 1822. The facades at the front and to the rear of the building are monumental and designed in the style of Louis XV. The hotel is located in the luxurious area of the 1st district and is to be found in amongst the famous Parisian designer boutiques and very close to the Opera House. The Louvre is only a few steps away. Orly Airport is 20 km, Charles De Gaulle Airport is some 35 km and Beauvais-Tille Airport is approximately 55 km from the hotel.

The breakfast room is under the reception, but even downstairs there is natural light coming inside. The furniture is dark, but the light-painted walls make a friendly atmosphere. There is also a small bar, where drinks can be taken any time.
