This small and luxurious country house hotel is privately owned and was completely refurbished in 2004. The hotel is fully wheelchair accessible and has a dedicated room for the physically challenged. There are 12 double rooms and 1 suite with a state of the art bathroom. The various public rooms are warm and inviting with log fires burning in winter. Every public room has a service bell through which guests may call upon the services of the staff. The house sits in 28 acres of gardens and woodlands including a 400 years old walled garden. Part of the walled garden is dedicated to growing fruits and vegetables, part is ornamental and part is set aside for relaxing garden games.
The Borders region is one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland and yet rather undiscovered and therefore quiet. The narrow country roads will give many hours of pleasure driving through the countryside. The river Tweed is a central element meandering through the Borders. The lochs are tranquil and invite guests to relax on the shores.
Breakfast is available to guests each morning. At lunchtime and in the evenings guests may select dishes from the set menu or choose from the à la carte options. Special dietary requirements may be catered for. Guests may book either a half-board or full board stay.
