This family-run hotel has 2 separate buildings, with the main building on just 2 floors (no lift access) housing the 24-hour reception area, the breakfast area with magnificent views of the sea, and the TV and Internet corner. The annex building is located 35 m to the south on the way to the beach, just above the swimming pools, the beach bar restaurant and the wonderful beach. It is possible to park next to the main building or in the beach parking area. There is a complimentary shuttle bus to and from Pythagorio Town 4-times a day. Further facilities include air conditioning, a lobby, hotel safe and children's playground.

The hotel is situated up on a hill in an area overlooking the clear blue Aegean Sea and the Turkish coast. This family hotel, established in 1981, took its name from the liquorice plant, which is almost everywhere in the surrounding green area. The beach just in front of the hotel is ideal for kids and relaxation. There are public transport links within a 5-minute walk of the resort while numerous places of interest can be found in the vicinity. Samos Airport is about 6 km from the hotel.

The hotel serves a continental breakfast buffet. For lunch and dinner, the beach bar restaurant offers a variety of local dishes à la carte.
