The hotel building, formerly the British Far East Command Headquarters during World War II, is the result of the restoration of the British Military structure which was built in 1926. It is a colonial-style hotel, featuring 86 individually-styled boutique suites and rooms, and is surrounded by the greenery of Fort Canning Park. It is within one and a half hour drive from the hotel (fees apply).

The hotel features 2 restaurants which serves Asian cuisine and contemporary Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. The hotel also has two lounges. The Lobby Lounge is an intimate lounge exclusively for hotel guests, featuring signature Poltrona Frau furniture in an indoor and outdoor setting. The Tisettanta Lounge serves cocktails with Italian inspired flavours made without additives or concentrated juices and gourmet Italian snacks.
