Some years ago the hotel purchased a portion of Boekenhoutfontein, the historic farm of President Paul Kruger, and over the years it has consolidated an area of some 283 hectares, which has been game fenced. In 2006, it underwent a major upgrade, and now the hotel offers 62 elegantly furnished rooms, 7 fully equipped conference rooms and the Metswedi bar where guests may have a drink while watching the sunset over the natural bush. The air-conditioned establishment also comprises a lobby with 24-hour check-out service, a hotel safe, cloakroom, children's playground, a pub and restaurant. Guests may make use of the WLAN Internet access, laundry service, car park and bicycle hire service.
The hotel is located just 5 km away from the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace, one of the stadiums that will be hosting the 2010 Football World Cup, half an hour's drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria, and only 15 minutes from Sun City and the Pilanesberg Game Reserve - home of the 'Big Five'.
