Accessible by river boat and set amidst the exotic bamboo jungles of Thailand, where 3 countries meet, a one-of-a-kind experience awaits for active adults. With just 15 tented accommodations, unique in luxury, these all-inclusive three- or four-night adventures cover every detail, from elephant mahout training to Golden Triangle excursions. The riverside stilt-top bar is the perfect venue for sundowners. There is also a restaurant.
The resort is situated near the Golden Triangle in Chiang Rai in Northern Thailand. The northern-most part of the province is an area well-known for its surrealistic mountain sceneries and picture-perfect sea of cloud and mist. The Hall of Opium is a 5-minute drive away. Doy Din Dang Pottery, Buddha's Footprint and Doi Tung Royal Villa are all accessible by car.
Breakfast is served at Nong Yao, the main restaurant. The cuisine on offer includes Thai, Laotian, Burmese (and Western) delights. Lunch may be a picnic in the jungle. After late-afternoon activities, guests can catch a sundowner, 30-minute snacks and refreshments, while watching the sky turn golden. Dinner is also an event at the camp. It may be a barbecue under the stars, a five-course formal meal or a dinner by campfire at Elephant Camp.
