A great place to enjoy a break in the wilderness of the Mount cook region. There is a golf course adjacent to the hotel, great fishing, mountain biking etc. If these activities are too tame, try gliding at Omarama, or helicopter trips to the glaciers. Twizel is located on the main highway betwen Christchurch (approx 4 hours driving) and Queenstown (approx 3 hours driving). Its a township that was developed during the pioneering era of the South Island. Located just 60 km from Mount Cook National park and the mountain of the same name. the area is great for outdoor sports and activities in some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world.
