The boutique-style building was built in 1912 and underwent a complete renovation in 2002, during which 10 million dollars were spent. The air-conditioned complex comprises 82 rooms, of which 2 are suites and 7 are wheelchair-accessible, as well as an entrance hall with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility and a cloakroom. In addition to this there is a cafe, an Irish pub, a nightclub, a restaurant and conference facilities. Further facilities include public Internet, a WLAN access point, a laundry service and parking for those arriving by car.
The hotel is located in the heart of Vancouver city centre. There are numerous bars and clubs in the immediate vicinity and all of the attractions of the city centre can be comfortably reached by foot. It is just a 5-min drive to the sea, Chinatown and the Vancouver Aquarium. The nearest ski centre is around 20 minutes away by car and the local railway station is just 3 blocks away.
A continental breakfast is served every morning. A set menu is available for lunch and dinner.
