This air-conditioned resort is surrounded by eight majestic mountains amidst the plantation's twenty-two hectares of land: Mount Telomoyo, Mount Andong, Mount Merapi, Mount Ungaran, Mount Sumbing, Mount Sindoro, Mount Merbabu and Mount Perahu. This setting provides the ideal locale for an escape from the ordinary, providing luxurious living in communion with nature's simple serenity. All the private villas and public spaces are hidden away between the lush vegetation. A visitor's first impression of the resort will be that of living in an old Javanese coffee plantation. The ambience is relaxed, serene and evocative of a bygone era. Facilities at the resort include a lobby with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, hairdressing salon, bar and restaurant. There is a kids' club and children's playground for younger guests. Room service and a car park are also available. For an additional fee, guests may utilise the laundry service or hire bicycles. The Club House, an original 1928 plantation manor house,completely restored and furnished with Javanese antiques and paintings, library and music room. High Tea is served on its sprawling verandas every afternoon.

The resort is located nine hundred metres above the plains of Central Java near the cities of Yogyakarta, Solo and Semarang. It takes about one-and-a-half hours to reach the resort by car from Semarang Airport and Jogjakarta Airport or two hours from Solo Airport.

Java Red Restaurant provides a very unique atmosphere for casual all-day dining with stunning views of Mt. Merbabu, Mt. Andong and Mt. Merapi and offers wide selections of Mediterranean and Indonesian cuisine.
