Built in 2008, the club resort is situated in the Old City, along with its fascinating canal and the Chiang Mai historical ramparts and moats. The centre of the resort is a colonial-era Lanna house, which serves as the lobby lounge, surrounded by the swimming pool, restaurant, bars, tropical gardens and 36 luxurious guest rooms in three cottages named after beautiful northern flowers - Chaba, Dahla and Monta. The colonial Lanna design of the resort places an emphasis on the northern Thai landscape, local arts and handicrafts. The air-conditioned establishment features a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom and a car park, while a laundry service is also available for an extra fee.
The Old City occupies a square area surrounded by ramparts and moats, which are believed to have been constructed during the reign of King Mangrai. There are five gates around the city, with the hotel located at the Pratu Suan Dok Gate, a few minutes from Chiang Mai International Airport, local temples, museums, historical landmarks, the weekend market, pedestrian areas, the foothills of Doi Suthep and the Chiang Mai Zoo.
A continental breakfast is served at The Canal Restaurant each morning, while lunch and dinner are available as set menus or à la carte.
