Explore the amazing cloud forest in the eastern part of Sierra de Bahoruco. A four-wheel-drive takes you up to a scenic outpost, from where you have a wonderful view over the beaches of Paraiso and the river Nizaito. In the afternoon a short walk on the botanical trail, you reach Cachote. Here you meet locals still living in a traditional way, without electricity and light. Spend some time at the community before thereafter the way leads back to the valley, which is well known for its high quality production of oranges, coconuts and mangoes. Get to know local farmers which are more than happy to show you around their farms and learn more about their daily life.
