Eating and Drinking in Tabarka
Concerning food and drinks, the town is very famous for fish and seafood , especially grilled fish. There are many restaurants available at the northwestern end of ave 7 Novembre 1987 with moderate prices. Also Tabarka Golf Club, many hotels have restaurants that offer three meals including the Hotel Les Aiguilles or the hotel Novelry. Les Etoiles restaurant (located at rue du Peuple) offers grilled fish , along with other simple restaurants located in the same street as well . Self-caterers can buy their needs directly from the central market (located at rue Ali Chaawani) or from the market stalls found just across ave Habib Bourguiba, or at the Monoprix supermarket (on ave 7 Novembre 1987). For drinking , you should really visit cafe Andalous (located in ave Hedi Chaker). This old café is a fascinating place to have a drink while watching the wall tiles that were made long ago in Tunis by Jews; the wood-and-copper figurines of Ottoman hanging from the ceiling; and the wonderful chandeliers there .
