This cycling is designed for the best scenery and sightseeing of Beppu. Most courses starting from 500 meters above sea level are descending courses. Participants will be impressed by the beautiful mountain and sea views. ・ The tour starts from the place with the best scenery. ・ The first half is beautiful mountain downhill cycling ・ On the way, you can also enjoy sightseeing such as “Hell Tour” ・ Beautiful coastline cycling in the second half ・ Free hot spring bathing at the final inn This is a private cycling tour without a guide. The starting point, Jumonbara Observatory, is a 30-minute bus ride from Beppu Station. Immediately after the start, you can go to the "Kannawa Jigoku Park", which is famous for its hell steamed pudding, and the "Kannawa Hell Zone Park" and the "Hell Tour". I can do it. The second half of the course is cycling along the beautiful Beppu Bay coastline. There is also a free footbath at Beppu Seaside Sand Bath. Please enjoy slowly to the goal "Nogami Honkan". Along the way, there are sightseeing spots and delicious lunch spots. We will guide you with your own maps and website navigation. We carry bicycles to the starting point, so participants can come empty-handed. Most of the course is going down, so it's very easy. If you have luggage, we can carry it to the point of call. The bicycle is a mountain bike called EspressoD24 from DAHON. It is very easy for beginners to ride. Return until 21:00 at night, so enjoy all day. It is designed to cover almost all of the best sea and mountain landscapes and major spots in Beppu tourism. Please enjoy cycling at your own pace.

Logistics Instructions

Start location : Please start (check-in) between 10:00 and 10:30 in the morning. Access to the start point "Jumonjihara Observation Deck" by bus or taxi. It takes 30 minutes from Beppu Station and 14 minutes from Kannawa Onsen Bus Terminal. Please use Kamenoi Bus route number 5 "APU line" or route number 41 "Safari line". There are about 2-4 buses every hour. It is a 2-3 minute walk from the stop at the Tomonjibaru Observatory bus stop to the observatory. Bicycles are available at our starting point in advance. We will check-in and explain the simple instructions, so please cooperate.

End location : The goal is Nogami Honkan, a hot spring inn located in the center of Beppu Onsen. Bicycles and helmets must be returned by 21:00 at night. Nogami Honkan has hot spring baths for men and women, but users can enjoy free bathing. Please heal the tiredness of cycling in the hot spring.
